St. Catherine's High School is a faith community in the Catholic tradition committed to the Christian Education of young men and women. It is sponsored by the Racine Dominicans and witnesses to the mission, values, and commitment of its sponsors. It is supported by a strong partnership with the students, parents, staff, alumni, board, foundation, local parishes, and the Greater Racine Community.
St. Catherine's High School welcomes students of diverse backgrounds and aims to provide an excellent academic program that challenges all students to develop their God-given talents and achieve their highest potential. Programs and environment also nurture the spiritual and social development of students to enable them to engage in healthy relationships with all life, and to learn to cherish and celebrate that life.
St. Catherine's High School traces its origins to the fall of 1864 when the Racine Dominicans established an all-girls' day and boarding academy. In 1924, construction of a high school replaced the academy. The high school was St. Thomas High School until alumni rallied to have the name forever changed to St. Catherine's. It was also this year that the high school allowed young men to attend classes, thus becoming coeducational.
St. Catherine's is extremely proud of the 15,000+ alumni who have passed through its halls since 1864. Our rich tradition lies in the contributions these individuals have made, and continue to make, to our community and to the world.

At St. Catherine's High School we firmly believe in doing the things necessary to preserve the integrity of our faith, our families and our school.
As such, we ask that every SCHS student, parent and staff member live "The Angel Way."
