Class of 2017 SCHS Placement Test Dates
Students interesting in attending St. Catherine’s High School need to take an SCHS Placement Test to begin the registration process. This test is not an admissions test. The results of this test are used to help place students in proper classes during registration in late January.
This year’s SCHS Placement Test Dates are:
Thursday, February 5, 2013 3:45-6:15pm
Several SCHS Placement Test and John F. McGuire Scholarships are awarded based on Placement Test scores. The top students will earn a $1000 SCHS Placement Scholarship for their achievement. These honors are only awarded to students who test during the November 3 and November 6 test dates.
Pre-registration is requested, but not mandatory to take the test. You may register for the SCHS Placement Test online using the Placement Test Registration Link or by calling the Admissions Office at 632-2785, ext. 429 or 402 to reserve your spot.
Results of the test will be given to families on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the “Results are In” event. Students who test on the February 5, 2013 date will receive their packet of information at a later date.
If you missed the SCHS Placement Test dates, please contact the Admissions Office at 632-2785, ext. 429 or 402, to register to take the test during the school day.
Many other scholarships that do not require an application are awarded through our Financial Aid Program.

Please join us on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6-7pm for “Results are In” Night. The program consists of distribution of the Placement Test results as well as the sharing of important information regarding registration. We will also have students and staff available to answer questions, including our VP of Finance, Nancy Kost.
If you have a conflict, please call the Admissions Office at 632-2785, ext. 429 or 402, to have the results sent to your home. We look forward to seeing you there!

Freshmen year registration will be held on Thursday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 3-7pm. We ask that if your last name begins with the letters A-M you register your student on Thursday, January 24 and last names beginning with N-Z register on Tuesday, January 29. We hope that by spreading the registration out over two days we can avoid long lines and waiting times. If you are not able to make it to the date requested, please use the other date. This policy is only a suggestion.
If students are registered during these two Open Registration events, the Registration Fee is waived. Registration Fees apply beginning Monday, February 4, 2013.

Angel for a Day will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9am-12pm. The SCHS Angel for a Day program is a morning of mini-courses designed to show you what it’s like to be a high school student. Our teachers, coaches, staff, and students are excited to be able to offer these great programs. This event is free and open to all students in grades 4-7.
Registering is easy! Simply rank your top five choices (four sessions plus an alternate) from the list provided in early 2013. Register by using the online form.
A schedule will be ready for you on Saturday morning. We will do our best to accommodate your choices. Remember to turn in your registration form early, or register online, because course sections fill up fast!
8th Grade Algebra Testing
