High School Graduation Requirements 

Racine St. Catherine’s High School students must complete the required service hours and have 27 academic credits to graduate. Please see the High School Course Selection Guide for more information.

Service Requirements for Graduation

• 9th grade .................................... 16 hours of service per school year*

• 10th grade .................................. 18 hours of service per school year*

• 11th grade .................................. 20 hours of service per school year*

• 12th grade .................................. 24 hours of service per school year*

Credit Requirements for Graduation

A student must be enrolled as a full-time student for four years (i.e. taking a minimum of seven credits each year) in order to complete graduation requirements. There may be a rare exception to this rule. A student, while in attendance at St. Catherine’s, must take all required courses at St. Catherine’s. All exceptions will be dealt with directly by the Assistant Principal; Guidance Counselor, the student, and his/her parents will be involved in discussing any possible adjustment. Request for this exception must be made in writing to the Assistant Principal.

A student transferring from a local public high school must attend St. Catherine’s for a minimum of two consecutive semesters as a senior to be eligible to receive a diploma from St. Catherine’s.

Four credits of Theology are needed to meet Archdiocesan requirements. Students who attend St. Catherine’s as part of the Parental Choice Program may exercise the option to not select Theology during the scheduling process; however, they will be expected to complete equivalent course work.
